Casio GA100 and GA110: my g-shock choice

Hi there, fellow runner. Today I'll tell you about two g-shock models of watch which I own for now. I use them both for my regular running activity and have no preference. Why do I use them? It's a habit and a piece of something else. I have endomondo and runkeeper in my smartphone and most of the time i just run, never even start one of this programs and don't look at my wrist, but I do really love my Casio GA-100 and GA 110 watches and always take one with me for a run.

G-SHOCK Theese are not mine, but they look nice and similar,
Theese are not mine, but they look nice and similar,
They are completely identical by technical characteristics but features different cases and layout of information blocks on face side. Cases are similar too, but color scheme is different: GA-110 have orange case with green buttons and blue face with orange and light blue hands, while GA-100 have completely white case with gray buttons and dark violet (maybe not violet, but really dark) information bits on it's face.

Functionality, as I've said above, is similar -- I use stopwatch and timer and nothing else. Buttons are easy to find and have soft deep click. Operation manual for this watches looks awesome and really astonishing, but it's quite simple to use this gadget. I have fossils and diesel watches too and they are an example of the complexity here.

This g-shocks are massive and lightweight, they seem to be designed right for my not too big and not to small hand, there were days, when I got to work in the morning and put other watch aside till evening to put them back on my wrist. With casio g-shocks I can wear them all day long and never feel tired. Sometimes I think they work like an energetic bracelet on some deep psychological level. With G-shocks I always want to do more and from time to time I do!

Have a nice day, fellow runner!

Gadgets for a runner's weekend

Bluetooth Handset Hack
Hi there, fellow runner! This weekend brought me a couple of topics. First of all is about powerballs. If you don't know what it is yet, then I'll redirect you to google search, but in two words it is a gyroscopic exercise tool, a device which one can use to exercise the wrist as part of physical therapy or in order to build palm, forearm and finger strength. It can also be used as a unique demonstration of some aspects of rotational dynamics. The device consists of a tennis ball-sized plastic or metal shell around a free-spinning mass, which is started with a short rip string. Once the gyroscope inside is going fast enough, a person holding the device can accelerate the spinning mass to high revolution rates by moving the wrist in a circular motion.

So here all scientific part is finished.I've bought one as it costs quite cheap -- about 10 bucks, looks nice and as I heard, it can help people, who spend most of their lives with computer keyboard to stay healthy much longer -- it prevents some finger and palm diseases. So it works nice, but it's too loud while in use, I can't use it in office or while watching tv -- it ruins all other sounds and breaks idea of non disturbing exercises. But it still feels good and I'll use it for some more time. Recommend. I've got the entry level model, it has no counter and can rotate something about 8000 somethings per something. Interested in upgrading, but cant't say why. Will use this model fot some time and decide whether it is still interesting in long run.

The second story is about wireless mouses. I've used to work with blue-tooth mouses for about 4 recent years. My favorite was V470 Cordless Laser Mouse for Bluetooth by Logitech. But this Saturday it dropped from the table and died. I really loved it and was some sort like addicted to it -- it was designed for my hand perfectly and it weight felt really good. And it featured laser technology. I thought that it matter, but how terribly I was wrong -- this Sunday I went to local hardware store and got Wireless Mouse M325 by logitech -- it is almost the same, but works with radio module, not bluetooth, got only one AA sized battery inside and feels really nice, though cheaper. But it works and cost four times cheaper -- just 15 dollars in our cold northern country. Recommend it too.

By the way, going back to my LG optimus L7 1 year of use experiment, it is still on -- I've bought picsay pro and camera zoom fx this weekend. Prices on them during the sale on google play were magnificent. And applications are not complete crap, you can even do some photoshop like stuff when on the go with PicSay -- it is really useful. They only had a discount on runtastic, but I've already got runkeeper and terribly fond of this application. Can recommend this too.

Have a nice day, fellow runner!

Optimus L7 as a runner's gadget

Hi there, running world! Here is some sort for game for two of us -- me and you, audience. Today I will receive all new LG phone -- LG Optimus L7. What I will do with it, you may ask and the answer should be like this -- oh, of course I will call and check mail, you, idiot. But this is quite old model and why should you ever put it in your mind -- like "oh, he get this l7 and he will make calls and check for new mail with it".

LG전자가 27일부터 스페인 바르셀로나에서 열리는 ‘모바일 월드 콩그레스(Mobile World Congress) 2012’ 전시회에서 전략 모델들을 대거 선보이며 휴대폰 명가 재건에 나섰다.

What a crap! Of course this is all about something else. I declare a new era of enlightenment -- we will discuss all android running apps and some apps for making runner's life easier on L7's example. From endomondo to note taking, including all falls and wins -- nothing will be left ashore. With dirt and devils in details -- complete review of a runner's gadget.
